Imperial College London Acceptance Rate: How Difficult Is It to Get Into Imperial in 2026 and 2027?

In Brief   Imperial College London is one of the UK's most competitive universities, particularly for science, engineering, computing, mathematics, medicine and quantitative subjects. For 2025 entry, Imperial received around 33,923 undergraduate applications, with approximately 8,143 offers and 3,627 confirmed acceptances. That means the overall final acceptance rate was roughly 10.7%. However, this number can be misleading. The competition for an individual course can be dramatically tougher. Some Mathematics and Computing-related programmes have recorded final acceptance rates of only a few percent. For students applying for 2027 entry, there is another important consideration: admissions tests. Depending on the course, applicants may need to sit the ESAT, TMUA or UCAT.
